A disease with many faces
The term rheumatism summarizes various musculoskeletal disorders with pain and restrictions of mobility. The scenes of action are predominantly the joints and the
soft tissues surrounding them. Possible causes are injury or viral and bacterial infections with subsequent activation of the immune system. Also pollutants and self-produced stress from the organism, such as free radicals and metabolic waste, can cause rheumatic diseases.
The body is overwhelmed with the excretion and therefore explores ways to eliminate the poisons and stores them in organs and connective tissue. This poison dump can then manifest itself through stiffness, pain and inflammation.
"With the help of medicinal mushrooms I´ve been able to get a good grip on my rheumatism. I have now taken the mushrooms for two years and am really overjoyed that I hardly have any discomfort." Ms. U. B. from Biebertal
The inflammatory rheumatic diseases are autoimmune processes. These processes start a war of extermination against the body's own tissues. Thereby tendons, ligaments, cartilage, adjacent bones and the joints are gradually destroyed, often in a year long process.
The degenerative rheumatic diseases are characterized by changes in the articular cartilage and of the bone, which in turn are caused by degradation and wearing processes. The cause for these wearing processes can be, for example, continuous overload, malposition of the joint, but also overweight. There are also diseases of the soft tissues, which are characterized by various clinical patterns with symptoms such as pain in the area of muscles and tendons. They range from such localized forms as a harmless muscle tension over a tennis elbow to tendonitis.
In the metabolic disorders associated with rheumatic complaints, particularly gout, a
disturbance of uric acid metabolism, is to be mentioned. Through the deposition of uric acid in the joints inflammatory processes arise. Poor nutrition favours this process.
In addition to many valuable active ingredients medicinal mushrooms also contain natural substances which effectively curb the inflammation. Mushrooms are low in calories and rich in fibres and important nutritionally valuable substances. As a basis fungus for inflammatory processes we recommend the Reishi. It relieves swelling, redness and
The Agaricus blazei murrill (ABM) mushroom is used to positively influence the ongoing autoimmune processes.
If one wants to strengthen the bones, then the Maitake is the medicinal mushroom of choice. Amongst other things, it contains the active ingredient ergosterol, a precursor to vitamin D, which is of enormous importance for the bones.
The Pleurotus has a special connection to muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage. It helps to strengthen them. The Cordyceps, with its high proportion of nucleic acids, strengthens the life energy as well as the kidneys and has a regulating effect on the psyche.
All joints of Ms. G. P. from Aschaffenburg were rheumatoid. After more than a year of taking the Shiitake healing mushroom, she tells us that her joint pains have significantly improved.
If we are dealing with diseases that are caused by an altered metabolism and accompanied by bulging and swelling of the joints, then the Shiitake is effective. Reishi and Shiitake have
particularly proven effective for arthritis and joint problems caused by acidosis. For nerve pain the Hericium is recommended. It strengthens the nervous system, regenerates nerves and exerts a stimulatory effect on the nerve growth factor. Additionally, the ingestion of OPC has proved to be highly recommended to reduce cell damage and inflammation .
The effects described are based on the ingestion of medicinal mushroom powder which is prepared from the whole mushroom. Please seek advice from your therapist before using.
